Saw this briefly on the news earlier tonight.
There were tourists on board but the driver was local.

200 Series this time with seven on board.
Possibly a new tour vehicle as it seems to have "'something' Discovery" on the door?

    http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/travel/travel-news/seven-hurt-after-fraser-fourwheel-drive-rollover-20090908-ff2f.html

Seven people were aboard a four-wheel drive which rolled on a Fraser Island beach this morning.

Emergency crews including a rescue helicopter were sent to Eurong Beach, on the eastern side of the island, about 10am to find all seven people had managed to free themselves from the upturned vehicle.

Two had since been airlifted to a mainland hospital, police said.

The cause of the incident is not yet known, however a Department of Community Safety spokeswoman said no one had been seriously hurt.

"They were all out by the time we arrived and had just suffered cuts and bruises," the spokeswoman said.

"We are currently treating people at the scene."

Police are also at the site and say the crash driver was a local.

"There were not an overseas tourist, or anything, they hold a Queensland license, " a police spokeswoman said.

The State Government in July passed new laws regulating four-wheel driving on Fraser Island after a rollover which killed two overseas backpackers and injured nine others in April. The driver of the Toyota troop carrier had swerved to avoid a wave.

The speed limit was cut to 80 kilometres-an-hour and passenger limits reduced to seven in the wake of the tragedy.

The families of two British backpackers killed in a separate four-wheel driving accident on the island are suing the tour operator for negligence.

I'm glad that, atleast in this application, lowering the speed-limit has indeed saved lives!
