Engineering at it's worst!

Ever seen some really dodgy engineering on a 4x4? Post it here for all to see.

This lad decided to weld 2 sets of shackles together on one side, and on the other side, well, I don't even know what that thing with the holes in it is

The tray looks solid

WTF???? Some people really have no idea

It seems his priorities are back to front... I wouldn't even hazard to guess what that Toyota storage box would be worth which is actually meant to be in a taco tub

He obviously didn't build the tray, or if he did, you'd have to wonder why he did a good job of the tray, and such a poo idea/way of doing the shackles :[img]http://ww

It would have been more effort to weld the pieces together than to just cut some flat bar steel to length

Well i have seen some dodgy work like that at the last OL comp a guy made up spring spacers for his ute out of rhs and didnt cap em and had one on top of the other and guess what they collapsed and fell out letting the diff go for a twist and pulled the tailshaft out and snapped the center bearing....
wasnt pretty..

yeh sure was that young bloke needs some lessons on the finer points of safe mods..

Yes think of the power he can save by taking that off the engine,


as for the Wooden support, what great engineering, even whittled down a spigot (maybe by hand) for the original towbar
