Just after some advice on changing Tierods is this something I should be able to attempt myself or should I leave it to the experts?

I should add that I will get a wheel alignment after it is done

Nothing wrong with doing them yourself Shaun. Just as long as they are tightened up it should be all good. A good way to check the alignment before you tighten them up is run a tape measure from side to side at the back of the rims and at the front of the rims. If the measurements is even or within 1 or 2mm they are pointing in the same direction and it should be ok until you get a proper alignment. ok

If Brett can change one in the dark with minimal light lying on the ground then you should have no worries ok

Unless they seem to be rusted-in like mine were a couple of months ago thinking Took some heat and a good pipe-jaws vice to hold the tie-rod and spin the ends out...

last time I got a wheel alignment they said the same thing and couldn't do it - sent me to another place where they got the biggest bloke they could find to swing off the end of a breaker bar attached to the pipe wrench (this guy was big) so hopefully they shouldn't need much but knowing my luck they are welded on

Are you changing the tierod or just the tierod ends?

tierod ends I think (where the ball joint is) I haven't looked at the manual yet but the front right has leaked all it's grease out due to what I am guessing is a cut caused by a wayward stick, so instead of just replacing the one I thought I would do all four

they are not to hard Shaun but doing all four is the best way also take a center to center measurment of each rod so when you put the ends back in you can get it as close as possible to the same lenth.

was going to order/get the tierods today but the kids weren't in a "shopping" mood if you get my drift the only thing I managed to sort out was a new load sensing flasher (required with LEDs fitted) and some milk
so will try again either tomorrow or friday
